ESIC: Historical Perspective
• ESIC started IC activities in Egypt over 30 years
ago (in 1985)
• In 1992 ESIC was established officially as
a nonprofit NGO under the umbrella of
Ministry of Social Solidarity.
• ESIC was a cofounder of IFIC
• ESIC was a cofounder of ICAN
At National level
A- ESIC participated with the Egyptian Ministry of
Health & Population in the development of the
Egyptian National Guidelines of Infection
Control (2000 – 2002)
-In collaboration with the:

• US Naval Medical Research Unit
